Chief of Central Java Regional Police: Training and Development of Digital-Based MSMEs Piloted by Akabri 96 Needs to be Widely Imitated

Central Java Police – Tribratanews.jateng.polri.go.id | The efforts of the Chief of Central Java Regional Police, Inspector General of Police Ahmad Luthfi to empower the potential for the economic recovery of the community continue. In Surakarta, the Regional Police Chief opened a Digital-Based MSMEs Training and Development at the Solia Zigna Hotel, Laweyan, Tuesday afternoon (14/9).

In the event which was initiated by the alumni of the 1996 Bharatasena Akabri (Indonesian Military Academy), the Chief of Regional Police stated that this MSMEs training is a creative breakthrough that should be imitated.

“This is a creative breakthrough for small and medium enterprises. This training is as a trigger that needs to be followed. I hope that this program is imitated by other regions and even can be done at the national level,” said the Chief.

The event, which was also attended by a number of main Regional Police officials and the mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, was joined by around 210 participants. 60 participants attended in person and around other 150 via streaming.

The training materials were presented by the two experienced digital marketers, Andreas Agung Bawono (a digital marketer and trainer) and BRQ Dias Bahari Adhitama (a Sophee speaker for the beginner class).

Further, in his remarks, the Regional Police Chief emphasized that the National Police as part of the community is directly involved in the recovery of the national economy.

“A number of police stations have taken the initiative of economic empowerment by doing catfish cultivation and vegetables farming. Resort Police also carry out similar activities in empowering people’s economy and food security,” said the Chief.

This micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) training program, added Inspector General Police Luthfi, is very much needed. Small and medium economic actors need to know about marketing in the digital era, including the strategies to market products on the proper sales site or market place.

“In short, this is in line with the policy of the National Police Chief regarding the national economic recovery, especially in the current pandemic era,” explained Inspector General Police Luthfi.

Moreover, the Regional Police Chief reminded the public not to be careless in facing the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The transmission of COVID-19 in Central Java, indeed, has decreased. However, still obey the health protocols. We don’t expect that people’s economy that is starting to be active again by the opening of business operations will result in loose public attention to health protocols,” said the Chief closing the conversation (Central Java Regional Police Public Relations).
